i actually prefer the thickness of the
straps over the padding of the straps
because the thickness spreads the weight out over your shoulders more evenly than a narrow strap which if you use those drawstrings that get kind of heavy you know how they
can kind of bite into your shoulder
this helps prevent that it does have the
ability to have air vent flow
i'm always a little dubious that even
with these air vents on my very
expensive backpacks in the past it never seems to quite work right one thing i like that they do here is what they call a security um
pocket here now this is not a lockable
pocket but the idea behind it is if you
put your money your wallet here and it's on your back it's harder for it to be
stolen because they gotta kind of pull
your backpack out reach between your
back and your backpack to get to your
cell phone your wallet your passport
whatever it is in here that's why they
call it a security pocket honestly not a
bad idea i'm kind of surprised more
people haven't done that in the past it
also has this little strap here so if
you're going through an airport or
wherever with a carry on a roller piece
of luggage you can run the handle
through this and then have this sit on
your luggage you don't have to wear it
through the airport pretty nice little feature there at the top here you do have a very nice strap to hang it off of stuff and a surprisingly thick very nice very comfortable fabric padded um
little handle here to pick up your
backpack and more very nice very thick
stitching here to help make this last
also while we're there very nice very
thick zippers very good quality all metal very big to grasp and very thick locks feels like this is definitely not
um gone cheap on the zippers this is all metal when it comes to that so very nice let's go here to the start up on the side real quick you do have two kind of smaller but decent sized pockets for water bottles so you can throw some more balls in there if you go through it start from the very front with the pockets you do have a very deep this goes all the ways down you can
kind of see my hand always here pocket
all the ways down here on that sorry
about the noise there so perfect to be
able to put in um phones tablets
whatever you want in that front pocket
there let's open up the next pocket down here you get more of a traditional front pocket with a little keychain hanger here a bunch of little pockets a couple phone pockets and or a pin pockets and more in here pro tip put a tight pin in this i can't tell how many times that saved me a conference at disney wherever very nice little zipper pocket in here for other things very nice and then it also
goes all the way down so very deep to
put things you could easily put a tablet
in there just um have that with you
let's take a look at the main pocket
before we take a look at the laptop
pocket with this now it does not open
all the ways flat but it does open a lot
there's this is a a very big opening for
very deep pocket there we go a little
bit better for you to be able seeing it
you do have two pockets here easily put
a cell phone in here battery packs hard
drives and more speaking of battery
packs it does have a usb cable here
which goes to an outside usb port so if
you put a battery pack in here you plug
this usb center usb port in there now
you have the ability to easily charge
your device without needing to run a
cord out very nice when i take the
family to disney or convention and
you're out there all day to just have
the extra one i really do like that it
also has a let's flip this around a
front pocket here or where you could put other devices organize it and more right there so i really do like that
so let's take a look at the back pocket
now this pocket is this so called lay
flat or mostly flat laptop back now this one actually does not lay fully flat does not go all these downs like i thought it did while talking so this is not a bag where you could lay it flat and have go through tsa with it in there it doesn't really matter because tsa typically doesn't even let you use that lay flat
technology to have your laptop still in
your back but does have a strap to keep
your laptop in here is a little padded
and then there is a second pouch here
for tablets hard drives battery packs
whatever and since this doesn't open
foley this is basically another little
pocket here where you can put stuff
with that so that is all the pockets on here now a few things right off the bat with this the quality is good it's not the biggest backpack in the world you can get bigger backpacks not everybody needs a huge massive backpack there's eight decent amount of storage you know i almost missed one pocket on the front on the side here is another pocket where you can put stuff very big goes all the way down all the ways over with that so it goes always over all the ways down with that um it's kind of a semi little hidden zipper so a few things here
is it the cheapest backpack on the
market no but the cheaper backpacks i find often go and they skimp out on interior pockets when i open this i see places to put pens and keys and different things different little pockets it's really nice because if you're like me and if you don't have that you don't organize it ends up being like a black hole in your backpack it's like you put
something in there and it like vanishes you have to take everything out to find that one item you like you're looking for so having a lot of pockets having interior pockets inside those pockets inside those storage compartments is really nice i really love this gray look to be honest with you i love the fabric
nicely made handle the thick straps
the security pocket on on it and more
two thumbs up construction feels good
nothing feels very cheap all metal some
cheaper backpacks i've reviewed have had plastic or fabric on very tiny little

okay today i am talking about travel i
love love love love love love traveling
before i settle down got married and had four kids i traveled all the time every time i had an opportunity i would take it up and i was able to go all over the world all over the united states i am so blessed by the many many opportunities
that i have had to have adventures and
see new things and experience new
cultures definitely i'm hoping travel is
in our future just because i got married
and have kids now does not mean that i
am going to end my urge and desire to
want to experience new things no i am
hoping travel is in the future not just
for me but for my whole family i can't
wait until my kids get even a little
older and we could experience more
things together so definitely it was
difficult when there was a season of
life for us when you know we had infants babies toddlers little kids and it
wasn't easy to travel so we just put it
on hold we took small trips but now our
kids are getting older and so i'm hoping
that we are going to have a lot more
traveling adventures coming up in the
near future with that being said i feel
it is time to update my travel bags
because i am still using the same stuff
that i use way back in the beginning
when it came to traveling and you know they worked great for me for so many years but i feel that it's really time to update things there are so many great features now that travel bags offer and i really want to get something good when it comes to my computer because so far every time we've gone someplace i take my computer with me and i wanted something that was gonna work better for my computer so i ended up purchasing two different travel bags one being a shoulder bag and one being a backpack these are both bags that i can use for carry-on and keeping my computer in so i'm going to share with you both of these bags but this is a two-part video i am going to be sharing with you today the backpack and then i'm going to wait for another video to share with you the shoulder bag so right now i'm going to get into it and share with you my new travel backpack this is the new backpack isn't it nice i really love this color it's like a heather gray if i put it up close here you can see and here is the brand name i honestly don't know how to say this it's like mateen probably butchering the name i honestly have never heard of this brand this was a backpack i found on
amazon so many great reviews that i thought i
need to give this one a try and plus it
had free returns so i figured what can i
lose but i love all the compartments in
this backpack i'm going to open it up
here in just a second and show you
everything this is the size this is what
we're looking at you can see here's the
back of it you know this backpack does
not just have to be for traveling this
is a great school backpack too
especially for college students because
it has the computer holder so it also
has a charging station and again when i
get inside i will show you but you can
be charging your phone
while you're on your phone you know
having one of those portable chargers
again i'm going to show you all this in
a minute but i just wanted to show you
kind of the size what you're looking at
here but let's get into it right now and
let me show you what it looks like
inside i mentioned before i really love
this color this backpack does come in a
lot of other colors as well so here is
the front pocket and you can see it is
pretty deep goes all the way down it's a
nice rectangular shape good for travel
documents such as your boarding pass and then the pocket behind it is going to
have a lot of compartments you can see
how deep that goes down it has a compartment here with a see-through mesh and nice that you can zip up things in there there are these two pockets where you can put pens or pencils this pocket is perfect for a cell phone because if you want to keep the cell phone zipped up then there is this pocket and then there is this key hook here and this thing snaps right off that way you can just keep this ring on your keychain and
then just snap it on you'll never lose
your keys that is everything in the
front pouch here now getting into the
main area of the backpack you can see
all the space in here so you have a
divider right here in front if you want
to divide up some things maybe stuck a
magazine in here if you're traveling
then there are these two pockets that
have that mesh see through and this is
your cable that comes with it and this
is all hooked up to the usb port here
this is my portable charger that i
travel with often you can see it's a
little bigger than a tube of lipstick it
works with a lightning cord so you plug
in the cable here that comes with the
backpack plug it right into the charger
and then using a lightning cable at
least that's the kind i use you can plug
that into the usb port on the outside of
the backpack then you can plug your
phone right into it and you can see it
is charging right now it all worked
great i was very happy about that you
can have it all plugged in here be
charging while you're walking around an airport or wherever and just put your phone on the side and then the
compartment in the back here is where
you can store your computer and an ipad so you can see it zips all the way down and then you have this area right here perfect for a computer this fits up to a 15 inch computer and then there is a spot here for an ipad this is my
computer my computer is a little over 13 inches and you can see it fits great in
here slides right in it is all padded
around the computer to keep it safe and
you also have this strap holding it down
now i will say somebody did complain in the reviews that the bottom did not have any cushion and it's true so i actually purchased this sleeve this sleeve is designed for a 13-inch computer you can see that it fit my computer perfectly this is a water resistant and shock resistant case so i am happy to have the extra protection and you can see it fit in the bag really well i am very happy with how this all came together i am not
upset i had to buy something separate i
really wanted a separate sleeve for my
computer as it is this is my ipad it is
an ipad mini and it fits in here great
this is actually designed for a
full-size ipad but i don't have one to
show you if it fits really well on top
you have a nice cushion handle and then you have a handle here for hanging it up on a hook there is a lot of cushion on the straps here as well as this breathable material people also said in the reviews that the material in the back kept you from sweating when you were wearing this on your back for a while then there is this secret
compartment here this is great for
keeping your valuables in such as your
money your id and this way pick pocketers can't get to it so great place to maybe stick a passport if you're traveling overseas then there is the feature of this strap that i absolutely love because if i get tired of carrying my backpack i can put this right on my
rolling carry-on suitcase you can see it
fits on here great it was easy to get on
and it is also not too loose so it stays
in place really well you can see that
when i spin it around it just lays on
here nicely so definitely a great
feature when you just get tired of
wearing a backpack and you want to lay it on your suitcase it stays on very
well you can see as i spin the suitcase
around it's not wobbling or anything it
is staying on great i love that feature
there's also some places here if you
wanted to hook more things to your
backpack i don't really use that feature
but it's nice to have then there is the
adjustable straps to get it to fit just
right on your back there are pockets on
both sides and i am a huge fan of these
side pockets because i want a place for
my water bottle and you can see the
water bottle fits great in here this is
the one i usually travel with having a
pocket on both sides i could either have
extra water or i could just stick my
phone there i like having my phone handy so having that pocket on the side is great one other thing if you like to
have extra security on your backpack
both the main compartment in the
computer compartment zippers come
together so you can put a lock in
between for extra security and then once you think you have seen it all there is another hidden pocket here in the front i didn't even know this pocket existed until several days after this backpack had come in the mail very fun that there is a bonus pocket in the front well there is all the many features that this backpack has and as you can see there is a lot of them definitely i think it was a good investment and i can't wait to start taking some trips okay well that
